Breast Augmentation Revision Case Study 37

This lady had previously had breast augmentation performed elsewhere and had developed severe capsular contracture. In this scenario the capsules and the implants were removed enbloc. Patients should always consider removal only and leaving things to settle before having another augmentation. In this case the skin is very thin and over time it is inevitable that this lady will develop capsular contracture again. In the short term patients can obtain a good result from removal and replacement and most often comment on how natural the breasts feel after the removal of capsules that are often hard and painful.
