Gynaecomastia Case Study 9
This gentleman was concerned about the excess breast tissue in his upper chest. This tissue is often a combination of fat and breast tissue. The options include liposuction only and liposuction combined with direct excision. This gentleman opted for liposuction only and although there are some limitations a satisfactory result has been obtained. Patients do need to be aware that liposuction may not be able to remove any thickened fibrous breast tissue although the improvements in cannulas and liposuction techniques are helping liposuction only provide better results without the need for additional scars. The result is seen at 6 weeks postop.
