Mummy Makeover Case Study 14

This lady had a mommy makeover with a tummy tuck and a breast lift / reduction. Patients are encouraged to mobilise immediately and no drains or dressings are used. Postop the patient is viewed at 6 days postop and shows the usual appearance of the scars / wounds. Although stitches are used throughout glue is used as an antiseptic sealant and this can appear dark around the scars over the first couple of weeks. The next photo taken at 5 weeks show how the scars have matured and although everything is still swollen and the scars red patients are usually back to their normal activities. Massage is important at this stage and the scars and swelling will continue to soften. This combination of surgery can be performed at the same time and takes less than 4 hours.
