What is a MACS lift?

A MACS lift stands for minimal access cranial suspension. However it is not really minimal access or cranial suspension as one uses a shortened facelift scar and uses suspension stitches that fix onto the deep facial layers and not the cranium. The principles of the MACS lift which are to lift the internal layers of the face upwards and the neck tissues behind the ear is a principle that I apply in face-lifting surgery.
