She has lost a lot of weight and the volume has reduced. It is important that patients are at their ideal weight before surgery. It is also important that in the initial surgery that patients do not try to reduce volume too much and the nipples are not elevated too much during the initial surgery. 5 years the scars have faded but there remains some skin excess. She is happy with the result and does not wish to have a skin tightening procedure. This is a good example of why patients should be at their ideal weight before surgery.
